It seems I was inadvertently calling Mary 'Sally' in scene 3. Obviously, my third grade girlfriend somehow managed to surface from my subconscious and found her way into the narrative. She was a sweet thing; blond, very British, and my first kiss. Where are you now, Sally? I hope life has been good to you.
Ahh! I was too lazy to go back and look at the cast of characters. I assumed Sally was a co-conspirator. So, no conspiracy - yet!

ReplyDeleteSorry, my bad. Probably just the first signs of senility kicking in. I was hoping to hang in there a while longer...sigh.
I caught that, but didn't care. I figured Sally and Mary were the same person, because Sally was not included in the original cast of characters, and seemed to have taken up Mary's role as neighbor and helpful realtor.
ReplyDeleteI noticed but didn't care either. The whole ^benefit of the doubt^ thing. I figured you'd explain it. Or if not then it was just an oversight. Or maybe I had things wrong.
ReplyDeleteAppreciate the presumption of good faith, folks.
