I've been going through somewhat of a spiritual transformation the last few days, friends and neighbors, and have returned to that first love of yea so many years ago...bowling! I worshiped at it's altar in my youth, but strayed and followed a false messiah. I've only visited the Church of Brunswick a handful of times in the last 36 years, but as of last Thursday, I have repented and am truly back in the fold. And this time, I'M OLD ENOUGH TO DRINK! Plus, the chili fries are awesome, and people offer me free birthday cake and pizza. I honestly don't see how Jesus ever thought he could compete. I mean, bowling delivers the goods!
Anyway, I rolled a 185 today, which isn't bad for only 3 days back in. I'm trying to round up a couple of folks for Wednesday night league, and I plan on blowing a considerable percentage of my paycheck on lane fees and $4.00 Coronas in the weeks, months, and hopefully years to come. It's my form of double tithing, the difference being that I actually get something back for my investment. I can't believe I've been away for so long!
It'll probably be slim pickins on the blogging for the foreseeable future. I hear those pins a callin' me. Strikes be unto you all, my children, and may your 7..10 splits be few. Oh, and remember to visit the house of bowling nearest you.
I used to do that in the good old days, when smoking a joint and bowling went well together.
